What is Amazon Smile?
AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon with the same products, prices, and shopping features as Amazon.com. The difference is that when you shop on AmazonSmile, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price of eligible products to the charitable organization of your choice. Every item available for purchase on www.amazon.com is also available on AmazonSmile (smile.amazon.com) at the same price. You will see eligible products marked "Eligible for AmazonSmile donation" on their product detail pages.
How does this help the Weybridge Volunteer Fire Department?
Since the Weybridge Volunteer Fire Department is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we are eligible to be your charity. All you have do is, when you log in, and you select your charity, select "Weybridge Volunteer Fire Dept Inc" (you must search for it exactly as it's written here)
How do I use Amazon Smile on my phone?
Download or update to the latest version of the Amazon Shopping app on your phone. You can find it in the App Store for iOS or Google Play for Android. Open the app and find 'Settings' in the main menu (☰). Tap on 'AmazonSmile' and follow the on-screen instructions to turn on AmazonSmile on your phone.
Can I use Amazon Smile from my computer?
Sign in with your Amazon.com credentials.
Choose a charitable organization to receive donations, or search for the charity of your choice, including Weybridge Volunteer Fire Dept Inc
Select your charity.
Can I use my existing Amazon log-in or do I need to create a new one?
Since smile.amazon.com is run by Amazon, you can use your same credentials
How does the Weybridge Volunteer Fire Department receive the donations?
Every quarter, we receive a deposit right from Amazon. The amount varies depending on the quantity of Amazon orders. Also, when we receive the check from Amazon, it does not list the people that donated nor the amounts. Everything is anonymous.
